Kick and Snare.
That’s all I’ve got today. My right hand is still gimped up and I’m in the middle of upgrading my studio with more RAM.

Loop #20
On this loop, I was going for a sampled, dance vibe (but on a live kit… with one hand). To achieve this, I cranked up my 6 1/2″ x 14″ brass snare and taped one of my LP jingle sticks to the batter head. I loosened the heads on my 22″ kick as low as they’d go (without wrinkling) to obtain as much attack and low end as possible. I placed a Shure SM57 in the far corner of the room and combined this track with a bit-crusher to add some dirt. I then gated and compressed each individual drum track until some club kids with glow sticks started to knock at my door.

You know Ryan, holding one dollar bills always does the same thing for me..why just this morning, I had a terrible cramp in my fretting hand by refusing to lighten the grip on my last two dollars.
But as far as the “request” page! Now there is how U B instantly monetizing your intranetz presence! For example: Someone puts in a request for the opening groove of “What’d I Say” played by Jack DeJohnette, from the Friday Night set of the Miles’ Cellar Door Sessions (which is pretty ferocious especially when Mike Henderson comes in, but I can do that part..a joint partnership! I want mine upfront!). Anyway, you kindly ax..”what am I a bid for that mess?” The requester replies, “$1.27, deposited directly via a mini transaction into your paypal account boss”..at which point..the wheels start turning..the bit crusher destroys any and all nuance of Jack’s gretsch kick drum, relegating it to Ginger Baker on a soggy afternoon..the $1.27 gets transferred electronically, and after PayPal takes its cut, you are $0.24 richer! Cannot lose, my frent!
.. capitalism..he still lives in ‘merika.
btw, send those glow stix kiddies over here, i have some work for them that involves picking up after my dog Scout.
